This is the collective title for Mariia Yaremak’s projects, which combine modern arrangements of traditional Ukrainian melodies with her own original compositions, inspired by events in Ukraine and its history.
It all began with the release of Mariia Yaremak’s works, which garnered several million views on social media. This later evolved into a concert programme, her first fantasy book “The Musical Tales of Ukraine”, and the concept for a symphonic show.
Scale: over 110 million streams and more than 80 concerts worldwide (London, Munich, Vienna, Tallinn, Kraków and others).
Geography of the ‘Ukrainian Fantasy’ tour (2022–2026):
– United Kingdom: London, St Albans, Bath, Birmingham, Truro, Luton, Bedford, Tebworth, Harpenden, Empthill, Aylesbury, Silsow, Toddington.
– Europe: Munich, Magdeburg, Halle, Keten (Germany); Vienna (Austria); Kraków (Poland); Tallinn (Estonia); Bordeaux (France); Malmö (Sweden); Amantea (Italy); the Czech Republic.
– USA and worldwide: New Milford (Connecticut), Dublin (Ireland)
– Ukraine: Kyiv (Palace ‘Ukraine’, House of the Actor), Lviv (Philharmonic Hall, Garrison Church, Krushelnytska Museum, Dzyga)
Premieres:
– At the Philharmonic (Lviv): the first large-scale premiere featuring a line-up of piano, string quintet, percussion, folk vocals (Ulyana Horbachevska) and ethnic wind instruments (Maksym Berezhnyuk).
– At the Garrison Church (Lviv): an orchestral premiere with INSO-Lviv, which raised 300,000 UAH for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
