The album ‘Ukrainian Roots’ is a collaborative work by composers Mariia Yaremak and Ivanna Voroshilyuk for violin and piano, aimed at reinterpreting traditional Ukrainian melodies in a contemporary instrumental style – from children’s lullabies to songs of hope. The tracklist includes:

– ‘Sleep is coming’ – an original arrangement of an old Ukrainian lullaby.

– ‘Plyve Kacha’ – a contemporary interpretation of a well-known melody.

– ‘Vershe’ – an instrumental version of a folk song.

– ‘Ukrainian Fairytale’ – a special composition depicting the history of Ukraine from its ethnic origins to the present day.

– ‘Three Wells’ (Three wells) – available in both an adapted and a simplified version.

– ‘Shchedryk’ (Carol of the Bells) – a global hit in a new arrangement, also available in more challenging and simplified versions.
